NYPL DIGITAL COLLECTIONS
The New York Public Library is killing it with their digital collections of public domain material. Check out this beautiful visualization from the NYPL Labs.
The NYPL has one of the largest collections of illuminated works. The snippets above were authored by Aesop himself circa 1480 and illuminated by Gherardo, del Fora, ca. 1444-1497.
Wikipedia describes Aesop as a “Greek Fabulist and storyteller”. We like that.
