Is it Beer O'clock Yet?

Kate Tyte

Termites are chewing through the floors,
I never leave the house at all,
Is it beer o’clock yet?

Do yoga like a marionette,
And soldier through the daily chores,
Termites are chewing through the floors.

Thank goodness for the internet,
I’ll read anything I’m so bored,
Is it beer o’clock yet?

I’m really glad we have a pet,
As I gaze upon her little paws,
Termites are chewing through the floors.

I’m tired of baking banana bread,
I can’t stand looking at the same four walls,
Is it beer o’clock yet?

How high’s the death toll going to get?
It’s not as if we were at war!
Termites are chewing through the floors.

I keep asking what comes next,
I hope to god there’s no encore.
Termites are chewing through the floors,
Is it beer o’clock yet?
