Originally from the Bay Area, Xenia now resides and works out of Sacramento, California. After receiving her B.A in Linguistics from the University of California, Santa Cruz she rediscovered her desire to create. She is most fulfilled when working with her hands, rarely using a brush and making an entire mess out of her studio. Xenia draws inspiration from nature and food, combining quirky with typical using bright, mouth watering color. She is influenced by the works of Ralph Steadman, Andy Warhol, and Wayne Thiebuad.
On a daily basis, Xenia works for a local screen printing workshop but enjoys painting and sketching all hours not spent in the shop. In her younger years she spent most of her time behind a camera, and recently purchased another film camera. Her current project is a book of photography, planned to be published in 2021. She is one of the co-founders of Recluse Arts in Sacramento and is participating in Sacramento Open Studios, hosted by Verge Center of the Arts.
